Privacy Policy

FlipFoundry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and the FlipFoundry service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using FlipFoundry you agree to this policy.

FlipFoundry is free to use. It is funded by commission from the eBay Partner Network affiliate program, described below. We do not charge for the service and do not collect payment information.

Information We Collect

Account information

If you create an account with an email address, we collect your name, your email address and your password, which we store only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us; we do not store a Google password or token.

Usage data

We record the searches you run in the product and, when you click through to an eBay listing, which listing you clicked, the page you came from and your browser type. We also record anonymous product events — such as which results were shown and which were opened — under a random identifier that lasts only for your browser tab. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps.

Error reports

When something breaks, our error-monitoring service receives a report of the error. For errors in your browser, the report can include a recording of the page activity leading up to the error, so we can reproduce it.

Communications

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email, and keep that correspondence to resolve your inquiry. If you apply to a beta program, we keep your application.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the FlipFoundry service.
  • Authenticate your account and protect the service against abuse, including rate limits.
  • Send emails you ask for and respond to your messages.
  • Diagnose and fix errors.
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to prioritize product improvements.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

eBay Affiliate Links

“View listing on eBay” links, and other links from FlipFoundry to eBay listings, are eBay Partner Network affiliate links. When you click one, eBay may record the click and set its own cookies, and FlipFoundry may earn a commission if you buy. FlipFoundry does not receive your eBay account details or your purchase details beyond what the affiliate program reports to us. eBay’s own privacy notice governs what eBay collects.

Cookies and Browser Storage

FlipFoundry uses cookies to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in forms. It uses your browser’s local storage to remember your recent searches, and session storage for the tab identifier described above. Our own product events are counted by FlipFoundry itself; we do not use third-party analytics, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. eBay may set its own cookies when you follow a link to eBay.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may prevent you from staying signed in.

Account Data

You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from the authenticated account deletion page. Your account and everything linked to it are deleted immediately, including account-linked search history and any saved searches or saved cards from earlier versions of the site. A beta program application is kept separately; contact us to have it deleted.

Third-Party Services

FlipFoundry uses the following services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:

  • eBay — listing data is fetched through the eBay API using our developer credentials, and listing links go through the eBay Partner Network (see above). No personal eBay user data is collected by FlipFoundry.
  • Google (optional sign-in) — if you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your name and email address.
  • Resend — delivers email, including contact-form messages and emails you ask for.
  • Neon — our PostgreSQL database host.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
  • Sentry — error monitoring, as described under Error reports.
  • Upstash — short-lived counters used for rate limiting and caching.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, encrypted database connections, hashed passwords, and environment-variable secrets management. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a potential vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to support@flipfoundry.ai.

Data Retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.

Children's Privacy

FlipFoundry is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
